Those in favor of animal testing believe that researching on animals will find cures to diseases. “Many of those in favor say simply that humans are more important than animals” (Nagel 2). Supports feel that it is worth killing millions of animals to cure diseases. That is incorrect. In fact there have not been any major breakthroughs in result of animal testing. Animal testing has been happening on for years and there is still no known cure for any disease including cancer. Testing on animals is also useless because animals do not have the same reactions to some medications as humans do. "… What goes on in an animal may not necessarily be applicable to humans” (Pollard qtd. Animal Rights 3).
